About Homeschool.Life

Years ago, when my oldest daughter was three, my husband suggested we explore homeschooling. At that time, my perception of homeschooling was that it was for hippies, families that wanted to educate their children with a religious-based curriculum, or people who lived in remote areas living off the land.

I was wrong.

I spent the fifteen years homeschooling my our girls, writing books on homeschooling, advising the largest education companies in the world, and pioneering and igniting a homeschooling movement that brought together the many approaches, voices and methodologies of home education onto one platform.

Now there is a new generation of millennial parents who are homeschooling their children. They’re looking for relevant and time-tested guidance within our technology-based world.

And the old platforms, “link-farm” based homeschool sites, and simply dated and irrelevant resources do not work or connect with them.

My daughter, Madison, has been encouraging (pushing) me to come back to the fold and share my knowledge and experience on homeschooling for the last several years. I’ve advised many friends with school-aged children who have been forced into homeschooling due to the pandemic.

But I knew I could do more.

So I created Homeschool.Life, The Homeschool Survival Guide For Parents Who Never Wanted to Homeschool, and The Summer Survival Guide For Parents and Children Suffering from a Homeschool Hangover.

We are a homeschooling family even though my girls are adults.

Let us be a part of your homeschooling journey, no matter how long it lasts.
